School has been in session for a couple of months and parents may soon be receiving School Vision Screening Reports. Even if your child has passed a school vision screening, it is a good idea to have their eyes checked with an eye doctor.
Many school screenings only check for DISTANCE vision issues. Your child may pass a screening even if they are not seeing 20/20.
Some children will pass a distance acuity test, but will fail a NEAR vision test (which may not be screened!)
If you notice any changes to your child's behavior such as squinting, rubbing their eyes, avoiding near work, increasing headaches or behavior issues while in school, give our office a call and schedule an eye exam today!
